Let's Get Physical

I just went to my first ever physical therapy appointment. I have a inflamed deltoids & impinged rotator cuff on my left shoulder. It hurts at night. This has been going on since February when I went to see the doctor and the stupid nurse tried to use that damn automatically inflating blood pressure machine to get a reading.  She let if fill & deflate with no success on a reading 3 times before I finally asked her to stop and do it manually because my fucking had was turning purple.  The shoulder started hurting that same day, on my way back from the doctor's office even.

So I thought that was the cause, but when I went to the doctor again a couple weeks ago (had to wait for my new insurance to come through before I could go) she said it was a muscle issue and referred me to a physical therapist after prescribing some anti-inflammatory medication and a medication to protect my stomach from acid reflux while on the anti-inflammatory pills.

It was interesting. I was surprised how just those exercises started to make my shoulder hurt worse. But then they did some electrostatic therapy and put a cold pack on it for about 15 minutes before I left and it was back to feeling better.

I'm home with some exercises to do at home. Now I just need to work on improving my posture when I sit at my desk (part of the problem) and remember to do these!
